In comparing the form of a woman to a man, differences are obvious. In drawing the differences of a woman to a man, the differences are even more evident! Its not so much the size of the form, but the shape. Where larger muscles are located, where thicker areas fall, and where curvy areas make a world of difference. In the general scheme of things it would be relatively simple to draw a skeleton or to draw a very thin form. Its when there is muscle or mass on the surface that it makes it much more difficult to determine what is underneath.
jes, a quick comment on how you are commenting on your images--at first i didn't realize you had written about the images until i clicked on the comment. you may want to add your writing in the blog post itself or others may miss it. this is your choice--just letting you know how i viewed it initially.
it's interesting to hear how you notice the differences between a male and female model, but i'd love to hear more specifics. what muscles are larger, what areas are more curvy, etc. give us details.
For the past three years I have been attending St. Cloud University; where i have been working on art as much as possible. After becoming very home sick i decided to transfer to UW Menomonie and continue with my work. I love hard work and being creative, so the move just seemed to fit.
